Some say they feel it comin' in the air tonight;
but I'm here in my bathroom
with some scrub on my hand
and detergent on my left
staring at the beige tiles
that fill my night
this has been the moment
the glorious moment
I've been waiting all my life
in between the bubbles formed
and the dirt stain on the toilet bowl;
in between the knacks and crannies
this old dish trying to prove its' worth by
staying petty with its' words
that come at you at this time of hour
while I smirk in the midst of scrubbing the tiles
on the floor
and with enough pressure from the hose
gently pushing the dirt stains
in its glory
I smile in altered states of
confusion and another thought
that my landlord might be thinking
she's not yet
given her share, right?
or the passing of time in the bathroom
gently taking out the stains-
I've been waiting all my life
in the air tonight.
